Call City Council: Protect the People’s Budget!

TAKE ACTION - CALL COUNCILORS TH 6/20 AND F 6/21, IDEALLY BETWEEN 9 AM-4 PM. (These are the priority dates, and we will organize more calls next week.) Also ATTEND THE MON 6/24 HEARING and spread the word about our petition.

Mayor Michelle Wu cut $9 million from affordable housing, youth jobs, programs supporting families of homicide victims, and community programs when she vetoed the City Council’s budget, and she is adding $69 million to the police. The City Council can override the veto, and they debate next week! Groups are also organizing to turn people out for a final budget hearing the night of Monday, 6/24. Please rearrange your schedule to come, and spread the word!
